The NABISA Board has approved these goals for 2024-25:
- Developing and positioning NABISA as a professional body representing the interests of all public and private sector building inspectors (including insurance assessors involved in property condition assessment).
- Aligning NABISA with SACPCMP, SACAP, NHBRC, and the ITC – also the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority;
- Driving NABISA membership;
- Pushing for the finalisation of SAQA accreditation for the Building Inspector qualification;
- NABISA becoming the Quality Assessment Partner for this qualification (setting of standards, exams etc);
- NABISA to work with SAHITA and and the University of Johannesburg to roll out national training programmes for the Building Inspector qualification – including practical training laboratories in the major metros – starting with Johannesburg.
